Guest Information

Your accommodation will be available from 3pm for you to check in (please do contact us if you require an earlier check in and we will certainly do our best to facilitate this if the property is vacant the day before).  We would ask that you check out for 11am please, but again, do let us know if you require a later check out and we will be able to advise if the property is booked or available for a late check out.  As both my husband and I work, a key will be available via a Keysafe, should we not be available to welcome you.  The code and location of the Keysafe will be forwarded to you just prior to your stay as the code will change regularly.    Upon checkout, please return the key to the Keepsafe and secure the door.

In the event of a fire, please exit the building and retreat to the furthest point away from the fire – either the garden or to a safe place on the roadside – and call 999.  There is a fire blanket and a fire extinguisher available on the kitchen wall by the sink.  Please familiarise yourself in the use of these.

Instruction manuals are available in the drawer for these, but please do ask should you experience any issues.

Please do take care when using the log burner and adding wood.  The outside will be hot so please do use the gloves provided to open the door.  Logs are provided but do let us know should you require further supplies.  Firelighters and a lighter are also provided.

Hot water is provided to the kitchen sink via a water heater in the cupboard underneath.  This is to avoid a delay in the water heating, but does mean that the water may require a little time to heat back up if a substantial amount is used.  This does not affect the shower.

Should you wish to use the hoover, mop or steam mop, you will find these in the cupboard in the small bedroom by the shower.  Kitchen cleaning products will be located under the sink.   Cleaning products are also available in the property for your use, such as washing up liquid, dishcloths and kitchen/bathroom sprays.

The wifi code is available in the property for you in the drawer under the TV.  There is no landline in the property, but please do ask us should you need to use the landline in the house.

Please use the dog bin provided in the yard to dispose of your poo bags (spares are available should you need them).  We will ensure this is emptied regularly.

We will check the water twice daily (morning and night) so you may see us popping in!  We will of course check you aren’t using the garden first and ask if needed.  Please do take care using the retracting cover and keep hands and fingers safe!  Please also take care entering and exiting the hot tub and be sure to check the temperature before entering.  The blue chlorine dispenser should be removed when the tub is in use and placed back in the water prior to closing the lid please.  Please fold back the first half of the lid before using the easy lifter to remove the lid fully (instructions are by the hot tub).

There is a combination washer/dryer available within the property and also retractable washing line (pegs are underneath the sink).  An airer can be found in the room by the bathroom. The iron is stored in the wardrobe in the same room.

Linen is provided, but please do feel free to bring your own should you prefer.  Beds will be made up unless you advise us otherwise.  Extra bed linen can be found in the wardrobe in the main bedroom.  Additional towels are located in the wardrobe in the room by the bathroom.  Please let us know should you require extra supplies.

You are most welcome to use the small off-lead area fenced off at the bottom of the garden, but we would ask that you walk your dog on lead to the area please.  The area is fenced, but please be aware that there can sometimes be sheep in the fields adjacent.

Both human and dog first aid kits are provided and you will find these in the cupboards under the sink.
